the expansion consists of two straight pieces of track. works best when combined with a curved expansion kit to allow some more creative designs of track. If you are looking to create a long straight to boost up speed kit only will suffice. I'd suggest getting the binary kit even if you do to strengthen along the straight and through the curve since the car will slide along the railway.
